Departments

We have been deeply involved in the design for the construction of subway systems in six major Korean cities. Our experts are fully conversant with the behavior of soils even under adverse geological conditions and various types of rocks; they understand how to manage the design during the subsequent process of construction. We accordingly have substantial design experience with bored tunneling and cut-and-cover tunneling as well as mechanized tunneling in heavily populated urban areas.

Mr. Hong-Nyeon Moon 사진

Mr. Moon is the Vice President of the Tunnel & Underground Facility Division. He is responsible for the management and oversight of urban railway design, development of underground space and tunnels. During his 27-year career, Mr. Moon has served in the design management of numerous projects. His main expertise includes shallow overburden tunnels in urban areas and excavation in various constrained conditions (such as tunneling underneath airport runway etc.).

Mr. Moon is a member of the Korean Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (KTA) and director of the Korean Geotechnical Society (KGS).
