'2020 Korea Environmental Awards' in the field of 'Environmental Safety'

  We, ESCO Consultant and Engineers Company (ESCO) was awarded the 'Korea Environmental Awards' at the '15th 2020 Korea Environmental Awards' which was hosted by the Korea Environment Awards committee of Environmental Media and sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea on 10 June 2020. This award was presented to organizations and individuals who have made efforts with environmentally friendly approaches in various sector, such as environmental management, education, culture, tourism, ecological restoration, recycling, energy saving and environmental safety. ESCO won the award in the field of 'Environmental Safety' in recognition of its pioneering role and contributions through successful achievement in the newly launched Underground Safety field.   ESCO was registered as the first specialized organization of Seoul City (Reg. No.1) in the field of 'underground Safety Evaluation' and have the highest performance (more than 80 projects) of 'Underground Safety Impact Assessment'. Especially ESCO had successfully carried out various major projects of Underground Safety Evaluation such as the Global Business Center (GBC) and the Great Train Express - A line (GTX-A). We, ESCO will continue to contribute the engineering industry to preserve the environmental safety and play a leading role in sustainable value technology.

'2020 KTA Tunnelling Award' in the field of 'Tunnel Engineering Project'

      ESCO Consultant and Engineers Company was awarded the prize, ‘2020 KTA Tunnelling Award’ on 9 April 2020. This was given by the Korean Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (KTA) in recognition of the outstanding performance in the field of Tunnel Engineering Project, which demonstrated a creative and innovative design concepts and technologies. The name of the designed tunnel is 'Hangang Tunnel (Han River Tunnel)'  which is a part of the National Expressway No. 400 connecting Gimpo to Paju. The Hangang Tunnel is the first road (expressway) tunnel to be built under the Han River. It is planned as twin tube tunnels constructed with shield TBM which is 13.5 meters in outer diameter. The length of tunnel which excavated by shield TBM is 2,860 meters and its minimum overburden is approximately 7.5m from the bottom of the Han River. This big project, 'Hangang Tunnel' is scheduled to open in 2025.

Beginning of 2020, New Year kick-off meeting

On January 2020, In the Head Office, we had a New Year kick-off meeting with our executives and employees, and started 2020. During this ceremony, we shared our thanks and greetings. We looked back into the past 2019 and have welcomed the New Year.  ESCO wishes you health and happiness in 2020!

We had a year-end meeting of 2019 on December 27.    All employees of ESCO people gathered and looked back the year of 2019 together.  Also, we shared Manito’s gifts and had a hand-shaking event.    ESCO hope everyone’s wish of new year will come true.

2019 Volunteering Day

On December 7, 2019, we participated in the ‘3rd Wintering Project, Kimjang Day’ event hosted by Sangdo Community Center. We donated fund and made Kimchi to neighbors in Sangdo-dong, Dongjak-gu. We would like to thank for your participation in meaningful events.

Signing an MOU on infrastructure maintenance and technical cooperation

On November 13, our company, the Construction Industry Research Institute of Korea, and SAFETIA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for joint project development and technical cooperation related to maintenance of infrastructure and asset management.   Under the agreement, the four companies will cooperate in various fields, including mutual exchange and cooperation of information and data related to infrastructure maintenance and asset management projects, development and implementation of projects to establish maintenance and asset management systems, and information exchange and technical cooperation.   See "Maeil Business" , "Today Energy News" (click) for more information.

The 23th Anniversary of Foundation

There was an event of our 23st anniversary of foundation, ESCO's employees gathered around to celebrate and have a meaningful time together.   In this event, We had a valuable time to look back on the company and ESCO member's history past 23 years.   After awarding prizes for 10 and 5 years workers of continuous service, all ESCO members had a pleasant time together with meals. 2019 Spring, trip to Baengnyeong Island

  All employees of ESCO gathered Baengnyeong Island in Incheon on May 30, 2019. We spent time sunbathing in the cool sea breeze at Sagot Beach and Kongdol Beach, which were designated as natural monuments.   It was a warm time to communicate with executives and employees for two days and to spend leisurely in nature.

  On April 23, 2019, Dr. Seung-Ryull Kim, CEO of ESCO, received the commendation of contributors at the 'Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit 50 Years Anniversary Event and Technical Book Publishing Conference' held at the Seoul City Hall.   The CEO was recognized for his creative skills and spirit of challenge, and for his contribution to urban development and the enhancement of civic convenience by leading the construction of the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation. Development of a maintenance platform based on asset management for underground structure

  As a result of “Development of a maintenance platform based on asset management for underground structure of plants and large-scale utilities” (Development Period: 2014.12-2018.08), ESCO Consultant & Engineers Company developed an asset management program. This program(www.escoamss.com) provides the client with an optimized maintenance solution that can apply the performance evaluation and deterioration prediction, and determine repair priority and budget distribution by using the detailed maintenance data. This system is being commercialized as a result of R&D through the support(contribution: 1.8 million dollars) of 4 years from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Registered as 'asset management support system and the program ~ '

On October 4, ESCO Consultant & Engineers Company got a patent of which title is "Asset management support system and the program that can change performance evaluation criteria by underground structure ( Patent Number : 10-1906954) " from the Korean Intellectual Property Office.   The invention relates to the asset management program stored in the recording medium for executing the underground structure system of asset management and method thereof, more specifically, to the asset management program stored in the recording medium for executing the underground structure system of asset management which is possible with the facility benchmark change and method thereof.

Registered as 'underground structure performance evaluation prediction system ~ '

     On September 20, ESCO Consultant & Engineers Company got a patent of which title is “ Underground structure performance evaluation prediction system for mid and short term restoration planning(Patent Number : 10-1903003) " from the Korean Intellectual Property Office.   The invention relates to the underground structure performance evaluation predicting system for the medium-and long-term and short-term soundness plan establishment.   In the present invention, according to the underground structure performance evaluation predicting system for the medium-and long-term suggested and short-term soundness plan establishment, the performance of the underground structure is quantitatively evaluated as figure of merit and the aging prediction model is estimated and the aging of the underground structure according to time is accurately predicted. In that way the maintenance plan of containing repair and reinforcement time and repair and reinforcement item of the underground structure so that the underground structure is maintained until the target life over fixed figure of merit can be formulated.
